When I was a child, my mother would take her Mercedes to an independent owned Mercedes certified dealer/mechanic in La Jolla. Back then you had a relationship with your German mechanic. Our families watch one another grow up and generations of drivers see the road. It was a special place, we love the Gietz family for keeping us on the road. That is how I feel at Pacific German. First of all, they are the best mechanic for VAG cars in Orange County, or anywhere as far as I know. They have worked on my GTI since I bought it near new in 2015 with ultra low miles. Since then they have put two exhausts on and completely rebuilt the whole car basically. They’re honest, hardworking, and most importantly they treat me like family along with a fair bit of dignity and respect. On top of that they try to save you money as much as they can and the work is done better than at the dealership. They care about their customers. I hope I can bring my children to this same mechanic one day when they first start driving. I’d feel safe with them in a car that was maintained by Pacific German.

I put complete trust into Shawn & Pacific German. He doesn't put a bandaid on the problem but diagnoses and fixes the problem the first time. Wish I would have found him years ago! I wouldn't take my Eurovan anywhere else!

Very happy with my service. Honest, attentive, professional, reasonable (and the fish tank is nice too!) Happy to provide a thumbs up.

Pacific German always takes good care of me and my car. I can always trust their recommended repairs, and they are very helpful in working around my schedule and getting my older car taken care of.

This is my second time bringing my car into this shop and I have nothing but good things to say about this establishment. They've been nothing but helpful, answering my numerous questions and concerns I had about any modifications. Needless to say, I will be bringing my car to this shop for my aftermarket parts installation needs for the foreseeable future.

Shawn and Tyler took my 'not quite right' 911 and first set everything mechanically straight, but then added a full round of suggested and agreed mods including air filter, ECU, exhaust, springs and intake plenum and I must say that the car I took to the shop and the car I have now are complete worlds apart. What was once a nice driving car has been morphed into a sublime super sports convertible. Best description I can think of is that it feels like a GT3-minus with a convertible top. It's awesome. Thanks guys!

95K service was done well but PG sold me for complete brake and rotor replacement with EBC which were equal or better than OEM. They definitely make less dust but braking performance is lousy. Initial bite is gone and brakes feel like wooden blocks. I miss my OEM brakes.

First time Ive heard this. Having a tuned performace car with stock brakes isn't the best way to go. EBC's take a little warming up to feel like soft organic pads. After heat cycle they outperform stock.
Safer car, cleaner wheels... just need a stop or two to warm up.
Been our brake pads of choice for nearly 20 years.
