PG is the place to go for VW/Audi repair and service. They are very knowledgeable. Have all the same tools as the factory techs for a fraction of the cost. They worked with me on what started out as a big job with lots of small addons to make it very affordable and a fast repair. Major props. Will be going back as long as I own VWs!

Absolutely, 100%, without a dought the BEST there is. Shawn has been my mechanic for over 15 years..through 6 cars and has ALWAYS kept my cars running in TOP shape. Yes, He WILL find the issue..no matter how big or small. No games, no gimmicks. He is a PURE service professional and enthusiast who really enjoys what he does. His son Tyler never ceases to amaze me with his attention to detail and automotive knowledge. NO ONE touches my German cars but Pacific German....NO ONE!!!

Unequivocally THE BEST shop in the OC ... Shawn and crew do such tedious, PHENOMENAL work, and their attention to detail is unmatched. I always feel not only am I getting the BEST, thorough work done -- but done HONESTLY. No games, no BS, no price jacking. As long as I have a german vehicle, PACIFIC GERMAN gets my loyalty. This is the third time I've been to Pacific German (all unrelated of course). The service has been timely, fair and logical. So many places, when I speak the mechanic, don't seen to know what they are talking about, however, Shawn always has a reasonable, logical explanation for what's going on. Aside from that, his pricing is fair and he gets the job done quickly. There's a reason I drive 30-45 minutes to get to Pacific German and will continue to do so for any issues I have.

Just picked my car up today and I can say with total certainty that I am a truly satisfied customer!! I've been coming to Pacific German a little over a year and a half now. I have a 1998 VW Cabrio which I bought used over 2 years ago. Shawn and his boys have kept that car running strong most likely past what it would have had I not come upon his shop. My car even runs better than when I bought it 2 years ago probably at a level comparable to a car half as old. Also did I mention the speedometer is about to hit 200 thousand miles..... I've been through tons of mechanics in the past, honestly a lot of shady work was done on my car without my knowledge I am sure. The first time we brought the car here, before even getting it on the rack, Shawn already had a list of things I needed to fix immediately (nothing you ever want to hear)....I believe he mentioned unless they were fixed the car would be an accident waiting to happen and was deemed "undriveable" by Shawn. Each time I have gotten my car worked on here (everything from new water pumps, belts, engine mounting or even just an oil change) I have noticed a dramatic yet positive effect on the the cars performance on the drive home. He really has a magical touch with cars along with his sons who are all very knowledgeable and skilled mechanics. He also really takes the time to educate you about your car, what and why he is fixing a part...he even shows you the damage. Unlike other places he doesn't use cheap parts, which although they might cost more it really doesn't match up to the quality and life of the parts he repairs (a lot if my old/original parts in the car were replaced) I'm not going to say its cheap...but he is pretty cost effective when you compare him to other mechanics, doing the same repairs (I have looked up estimated costs multiple times online and at other shops), and for the quality of work he does. I highly recommend German Pacific to anyone with a German made car. It is a drive...but it's been worth it. My car is still running strong and I know with Shawn's help its not leaving me anytime soon. :)

I own 2012 Golf R, which is one of VWs special model Golf vehicles. My car had some performance modifications done to it already and due to that my clutch was slipping. Through a local car meet I met Tyler and Mason who work at this shop, the technicians. I told them I needed a clutch and that I would be sourcing my own parts through another friend that I had. They told me to swing by and speak with the owner, their father, Shawn to work out labor quote. I got the parts and they installed them and I took the car home, for some reason the parts somehow didn't work right and the clutch didn't seem to be breaking in properly. Long story short I had the parts RMA'd, removed from vehicle by them, and for no additional charge, Shawn took care of me and installed the RMA'd parts even though he did not acquire the parts himself. That is what I call customer service. Mason installed the parts and did an exceptional job doing so. I would recommend this shop to any VW or AUDI owner hands down. They are by far the best shop servicing these makes in this area.

Came to get a quote on getting a Big Brake kit installed, despite I havent got any work doen here, but the quote process and interaction we're top notch. They were very busy with a very big project for a customer. Yet he still managed to give me 100% attention and well knows the VWAG vehicles inside and out! HIGHLY RECCOMEND. SHAWN & GREG U ROCK!

Adding another review on here. Once again, i HIGHLY recommend Pacific German. Just had some major issues with my suspension system and Shawn was incredibly helpful and reasonable in his recommendations and fix. I will continue to drive the long 45+ minutes to get here for auto service as I'm always treated very well and, of course, his pricing is extremely reasonable. Read more Just took my 2003 Jetta GLS 1.8T Wagon to Pacific German. Sean was extremely thorough in his investigation and was very deliberate in actually showing/demonstrating his finds. The dealer somehow missed that my timing belt was about to die, but one look from Sean and even i could tell that the burn marks would soon give and destroy my engine... I had a lot of work done but they were incredibly generous in bundling labor. I will definitely be returning for anything i need done on my car and will recommend them to anyone driving a VW or Audi. I am very meticulous about who works on my car. I was referred to these guys from one of my coworkers. I had my suspension installed and a revo stage 1 chip done here. The shop is immaculate and the employees are knowledgeable and professional. Not to mention they offer a wide assortment of OE replacment performance accessories.
