I've been coming here for a few years now and can't believe that I forgotten to write a review about them. This review is about my most recent experience. My vehicle has been having some unusual wear on the rear tires and I brought it to the experts, upon their investigation they had found other unknown issues to my surprise. While I get skeptical about "unknown issues" Shawn (the owner) explained the noises and that could be heard and asked if I was keen to this, to my surprise I had thought it was normal due to the age of my vehicle (2000 TT, boy was I wrong) since Shawn and his crew have been working on German cars for awhile it made perfect sense. Shawn also recommend a near by tire shop to which he got me better pricing for my tires that needed to be replaced. I'd like to Thank Shawn and all of the workers at Pacific German, job well done! I was lucky enough to stumble across this shop when I got my new VW. I was able to have them modify my vehicle without any hassle. Tyler and Shawn were very polite and professional. They answered all my questions patiently, performed wonderful quality work. and finished with transparent pricing. The shop was clean and well maintained. This is not a shop that does a whole bunch of stuff without consulting you; the people here are concerned with your happiness. I would have no problems referring anyone here. Where do I start... I just picked up a 2013 allroad 2 weeks ago and had some work done to it, Coilovers, rims, and i wanted to get a couple of mods done as well, being impatient i looked up any auto shop and picked Pacific German, (closest to work) and Wow i'm lucky to have found them (shawn and tyler.) 1st impressions seemed like a clean shop and knowing not much about audi's shawn was very imformative, and explained what i still needed and what it specifically does. I wanted to get done what a lot of the forums says were good parts and products but after talking to Shawn i was a little taken back as he refused??? At first i thought he was stuborn but Talking to him in detail, he took the time to tell me why. And I'm glad I listened to him. He even took the time to redo my coilovers that i had done at a different place as they were set up wrong for no charge! I'm VERY satisfied and got a fair price for all the work! 9 check-ins I'm an Audi/VW owner and this is my favorite shop to get work done on my car in Orange County. These guys are cool and clearly passionate about the cars they work on. Their service and professionalism is way better than you'd see at any dealership. So do yourself a favor and take your car to Pacific German. 5 Stars. Had electrical issues with my Touareg so I yelped VW repair shop and PG popped up at the top of my results. I was sick of paying the 130 inspection fee at the dealership and wanted to find a place that could fix her and tune her. After reading the reviews I called Shawn and scheduled a time to bring her in for a quick look. I got a full computer diagnostic and ride along to assess the issues and the most in depth diagnostic I had ever received on a car (free of charge). Shawn has a PHD level of Audi/VW knowledge and emailed me a proposal shortly after the inspection. She was Fixed on time and as quoted and the rental car shop just down the road made it that much easier. Will be coming back for all of my VW needs and wants. After having my car repaired here, I understand why Pacific German gets so many 5 stars. The owner takes his time to fully diagnose, explains with clarity and simplicity and really puts his mind into providing an excellent experience. No pressures to add inessential services, gives you a history of issues on my model and easily gains trust by being simple and straightforward. I can see that the whole team cares about cars whether they are theirs or yours. 1 check-in I had been looking for a good independent VW shop and came across Shawn and Pacific German from a Touareg forum (Club Touareg). I have a huge distrust of the service departments at car stealerships, and value the fact that at Pacific German I can either speak to the owner or directly to the guy that worked on my car. Their knowledge of VAG vehicles (Porsche/Audi/VW) is high caliber and their services are fairly priced and trustworthy. I take my Touareg there for regular maintenance, and had them disable that annoying seat belt buzzer. If you have a 2004-2011 Touareg, you know what I'm talking about... it buzzes at you even when you're parked!

I first found Pacific German in 2011 and have been an incredibly happy customer ever since. I come all the way from Corona to have Shawn and his team work on my '05 A4 because I just haven't been able to find a shop in IE that specializes in Audi. I've had plenty of different work done at Pacific German ranging from basic oil changes to brakes to struts, to fan replacement. They've always given me a fair price and a clear explanation of what needed to be done. I've sent several friends and colleagues to Pacific German and haven't heard anything but praise from any of them. I know how hard it is to find a trustworthy shop for your German ride. My wife and I brought our 2001 VW Jetta which I use as transportation to and from work for a check engine light diagnostic. This car led a rough life during it's 12 years although maintenance was performed regularly. Although the car is starting to "fall apart", we decided that if repairs were reasonable we would continue to drive the car and not buy a new one. The manager or owner was kind enough to run a diagnostic for free while we waited! This was super cool of him. Most shops charge at least $40+ dollars for this quick service. Unfortunately, being an early 2000 VW Jetta, this car was plagued with so many problems we decided repairs were not worth it. Now to the funny (but true) reason why I did not give a full 5 stars in my review. Being the avid competitor I am, I challenged the owner/manager to a simple race. My Nissan GTR vs his nice but slower Audi RS5. He declined and said "I will probably take you anyways" LOL This my friend is a challenge. If you are a true German auto enthusiast I am curious why you backed down from a race against my Nissan? Beware of the Black GTR that roams the Lake Forest streets-you may get burned :) Update: I wanted to make sure my humor and 4 stars didn't affect the overall rating of this business.
