I highly oppose Pacific German for 4 reasons: 1. The service is 'Unreasonably expensive'. Shawn asked $750 for a service which I ended up paying $300 in the same street with labor and cost of parts. 2.The diagnostic report was superficial with a few pictures which did not add useful info. Useless $149 report! 3. When I took the car to different mechanic, the mechanic showed me the brake fluid oil container was left open. Unbelievable! I could have loose pressure on my breaks and crash! Awful mistake! 4. Last but not least, Shawn uses fear tactics to sell his expensive below average services. When I rejected his service, he became furious! He didn't know I am a mechanical engineer and I detected his none sense. I strongly discourage you to take your car to Pacific German.
My friend you are out of your mind.
Lets mention the fact that the car was a poorly reassembled 19 year old salvaged title diesel Beetle.
Not to also forget how you were asking for free labor since you were a mid life student.
Disappoineted that you are a mecanical engineer with zero practical knowledge of common sense safety.
I cant pay you to fix a car that has had zero critical maintenance since the day you acquired it. (your words not mine)
I can fix a car but I cant fix..... sorry that is too polite.
A case of common sense being uncommon, or crazy times and crazy ....
