I was having trouble with a mechanic who was trying to charge me 2000 for a 700 dollar job.. Thanks to Shawn I found out what was really going on with my car and he solved the problem the right way. Shawn has been very helpful and kind to me and I am going to keep going over there even though I live in santa monica. Finally feels like I have found a trustworthy mechanic, I didn't think that was possible.. The mechanics he has working in the shop are his two sons they are also very helpful and kinda cute too! This shop hands down is the best shop in Socal. Shawn the owner is an awesome guy. Straight to the point and doesn't sugar coat anything. And when it comes to something you drive everyday or even have family in, repairs shouldn't be sugar coated at all. And let me tell you they know exactly what they are talking about and have taught me so many things along the way. My dad had some major work done to his 06 Jetta which included needing a new motor but we had tons of work done prior to that even when my dad had his first Jetta. I also had work done by them when I had my B5 A4 and they even took the time to stay late to finish my vehicle. They also worked on my sisters B5 A4 and my MKIV GLI. We have always relied on Pacific German to fix the issues with our cars. The shop is always clean and they seem to be busy year round. Let's not forget all the awesome cars their whole family drives. It's funny how they use my dads Jetta as an example on how reliable the DSG transmission is on Volkswagen's and Audi's. Almost at 250,000 miles and still going strong. I honestly respect the amount of work they do and the attention to detail when doing repairs. Both Tyler and Mason are awesome guys and great workers. I always suggest friends and family to Pacific German when they need work done to their vehicles. Don't let the cars parked outside the shop fool you. They do it all there, from basic oil changes to even supercharged Audi R8's. I know in the near future I will be back to get work done on my MKIV GLI. Thanks again for all the great work guys!

Brought my son's car here to have it looked over, after it was taking to the dealer. The guys at Pacific German found things that were safety issues that were either over looked or ignored by the dealer. Not a very good thing when it is your kids very first car. To say the least I will never trust the dealer with any of my cars again. When this independent shop is more concerned about the safety of your vehicle than the dealer, I think you will also choose Pacific German!

I have been looking for an independent Audi mechanic for the last year knowing that my factory warranty is going to expire. My aunt had told me about Pacific German and I decide to try it out. I called and made a appointment for a 65k mile service for my wife's 2008 A6. Later that day, Shawn the owner called me and asked if I was able to come by and see a few items that needed attention. I did and his mechanic went through a punch list of items. Some parts were not in stock and needed to be ordered, Shawn kept me in the loop on all aspects of the repairs. Not only did he and his crew do a great job, they washed and delivered my car to my house. It has been said that first impressions are everlasting! Well this was an awesome way to start. The prices are very reasonable and still way cheaper than the dealer. Shawn is very professional, direct and to the point and willing to give his advice . I would highly recommend to all . Pacific German did a great job on my mk6 gti. I needed all my rotors and brake pads replaced and I went with the red stuff brake pads that they carry. They were quick, professional and very communicative, also have great pricing. I'm from Pomona area but I'm willing to make the drive all the way to lake forest cuz they're just that great.

Took our Audi Q5 here to have a hitch installed. I chose Pacific German because Shawn was the only shop I called who would give me an estimate without me bringing the vehicle in. (It was a standard hitch, so it shouldn't have been difficult to give an estimate if the shop had done this type of work before.) The work was well executed, completed timely - which was important to me since I had my infant son with me, and came in at the estimated price - no surprises. Shawn and his team were wonderful to work with. Definitely worth the drive from Newport Beach.

I've been coming here for a few years now and can't believe that I forgotten to write a review about them. This review is about my most recent experience. My vehicle has been having some unusual wear on the rear tires and I brought it to the experts, upon their investigation they had found other unknown issues to my surprise. While I get skeptical about "unknown issues" Shawn (the owner) explained the noises and that could be heard and asked if I was keen to this, to my surprise I had thought it was normal due to the age of my vehicle (2000 TT, boy was I wrong) since Shawn and his crew have been working on German cars for awhile it made perfect sense. Shawn also recommend a near by tire shop to which he got me better pricing for my tires that needed to be replaced. I'd like to Thank Shawn and all of the workers at Pacific German, job well done! I was lucky enough to stumble across this shop when I got my new VW. I was able to have them modify my vehicle without any hassle. Tyler and Shawn were very polite and professional. They answered all my questions patiently, performed wonderful quality work. and finished with transparent pricing. The shop was clean and well maintained. This is not a shop that does a whole bunch of stuff without consulting you; the people here are concerned with your happiness. I would have no problems referring anyone here.
